#Qatar2022 : African and European nations qualified for world cup play-offs

The super eagles of Nigeria secured World Cup play-off spot after 1-1 draw with Cape Verde. 

That singular lackluster performance would necessitate a play off which would be do or die affair.

Away from Africa, some other big names in Europe have come under same criticism as they refused to clinch that automatic qualification. Nations like Portugal and the current Euro2020 Champions, Italy were also required to get a play-off as well.
