NNPC Actually lied to Nigerians about Port-Harcourt Refinery revamp – Timothy Mgbere

The recent Brouhaha between the NNPCL and Port-Harcourt Refinery debacle is gaining more traction after it appeared that they reportedly lied to Nigerians about the refinery actually Refining crude oil.

Nigeria is a nation where her leaders often are not very sincere with the citizens…. Quite unfortunate!!!

Nigerians deserve to know the truth always as to build trust with the government which is battling with  economy stability.

During a live tv Morning show with Arise tv, a guest, Timothy Mgbere, secretary Alase stakeholders (The host community to NNPC Refinery) alluded to the fact that Port-Harcourt Refinery hasn’t started any refining petrol as previously and erroneously reported by NNPC and exploited by the APC Government as one of their monumental achievement.

NNPCL who earlier lied to Nigerians that they had started refining at the First wing of the 60,000 capacity Refinery wing (built by Shell so many years ago) has also admitted that it was actually the blending of C5 (resins) and Napthta that actually happened.

In other words, it’s actually a blending plant that they succeeded in revamping not necessarily revamping of the much anticipated Refinery.

The NNPC also boasted that they are going to be loading 200 tankers of petrol daily but it was debunked by Timothy Mgbere that it was actually 3 tankers that were able to load after so much hours.

One question most people weren’t asking, if NNPC is actually refining petrol…..

How much are they selling at their own retail outlets?

The pricing should be the differential…

Unfortunately, this is a country where the Nigerian Government sends Comedians, Skitmakers To India To Assess CNG Safety, Ignoring Engineers, Professionals

Chemical and Petroleum engineers in Nigeria would explain to you about the processes of Petroleum refining in distillation columns where several distillates (Napthta, Diesel, Kerosene, PMS) comes out at different boiling points (temperature)…..

You can’t just get only petrol from a refining process..

This is a pure scam and Nigerians deserve an apology from the NNPC.

Do have a nice day and refrain from believing everything the Government tells you without first doing your own due diligence.
