Nigerians demand for Pantami's resignation

More controversies and outrage by Nigerians for Isa Pantami, the minister for communications and Digital economy to resign still rank first on the social media.

Isa Pantami, who is being accused of being an Islamic extremist due to his previous unguarded comments on the issues surrounding terrorism.

The minister was quoted as saying, “Osama Bin ladin is more Islam than i’m”…. Amongst other suggestive utterances.

However, Nigerians are apprehensive over the Minister having hold of sensitive information of Nigerians with the call for NIN being linked with SIMs.

This morning, the Twitter has gone agog over the issue…

DSS has deep information on all individuals of interest. For a person coming to handle a critical asset of the National Security, I bet the DSS would even have the DNA information of such person. So now, the question is: WHY WAS #PANTAMI APPOINTED!!??

I'm not really concerned about Isa Pantami, What really bothers me is that all lawmakers in the north opposed the motion to investigate and remove Pantami yesterday.

I am glad most Northerners are taking new positions about their earlier views on Pantami. They have made u-turn in the light of the recent revelation. Even Jeff Philips (BMC headmaster) equally made a u-turn on Pantami. Pls don’t chastise them. We need all the voices we can get.

They asked Lai Mohammed if FG was comfortable with Pantami being a Minister and he answered "It was not discussed in the council meeting".

So the Executive Council are not aware of what's going on or are they are complicit???

So Dennis Amachree, Fmr DSS Assistant Director said the DSS knew about Pantami's extremist views and indeed told the FG about it. Infact expressing concerns about him.

The FG ignored the DSS and still appointed Pantami as Minister.
