“The investigator found that Buhari didn’t approve of the naira redesign. It was Tunde Sabiu who first told Emefiele in September 2022 to consider the redesign of the naira. On October 6, 2022, Emefiele wrote to Buhari that he wanted to redesign and reconfigure N1000, N500 and N200 notes.
“The former President tagged along but did not approve the redesign as required by law. Buhari merely approved that the currency be printed in Nigeria. The redesign was only mentioned to the board of the CBN on December 15, 2022, after Emefiele had awarded the contract to the Nigerian Security Printing and Minting Plc on October 31, 2022,’’ the documents noted”.
Above is Bayo trying to exonerate Muhammadu Buhari from the monumental fraud and monetary policy disaster while heaping it on Emefiele’s head.
Meanwhile, Nigerians reminded him that Buhari came on National tv to announce that he gave the approval.

You can’t exonerate buhari from this treasonable offense . Reporting that Tunde made such decision alone is enough to withdraw buhari’s GCFR tag and stop his pension as former president.
You just claimed that Tunde instructed the CBN governor to make such reckless decision that put the whole country in deep mess ? On what capacity if I may ask ? 🤔
Let’s not forget that the same buhari made the broadcast that he backed emefiele on the naira redesign policy . You can’t make tunde the scape goat by blackmailing him before getting him arrested . Buhari , emefiele must go down first . Stop this PR Mr onanuga . Apc is a proper calamity and the greatest error we all committed.

Dear Mr Bayo Onanuga, you are only trying to mislead the public by saying Me Buhari did not approve the Naira redesign. He came on air more than once to explain his side of the said “saga” as you mentioned.
For your information in case you did not have the time to watch the address of Mr Buhari. This video has all he said about it. It was even televised live by the TV station of Mr Tinubu in case you would think it was a doctored video.
Enough of playing politics by putting all the blames of the failed fraudulent policies on Mr Emefiele.
You have the responsibility (as an old man) of stating the truth in all sincerity probably not because of you but because of the younger generation coming after you.
