Lagos Motorists turn Amphibious as flood take over roads (video)

Lagos state is currently experiencing serious flooding as rainy season returns.

It may seeem as the vehicles in lagos are fast becoming aquatic or amphibious as they swim through the tides of floods.

Flood has taken over some parts of Egbeda-Idimu area of Lagos State following a downpour on Thursday.

This has resulted in gridlock as motorists have difficulties navigating the axis.

The premises of the National Population Commission (NPC) and National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) at Babs Animashaun Road, Surulere area of Lagos, have been flooded

The development followed the heavy rain on Thursday which started at about 11.30 a.m and continued until about 1 p.m.

A worker at the NPC office, who spoke with NAN, said it was “normal” for the area to be flooded whenever it rains.

“Sadly, the situation is the same. The flooding here continues. I am not sure anyone considered the NPC, NOA, and NYSC offices to do anything to stop or reduce the flood,” the worker said.
