BREAKING: Tinubu approves 50% cut in transport fare Nationwide

Bola Tinubu has approved a 50 percent reduction in land transportation fares nationwide, from December 21 to January 4, 2024.

Tinubu has also approved zero fare for train transportation across the country within the same period.

This was disclosed by the Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Mr. Dele Alake on Wednesday while briefing State House correspondents at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Alake said, “It is in this wise that the President is announcing through us that beginning from tomorrow, December 21, Nigerians willing to travel can board public transport via mini buses, luxury buses at 50 per cent discount of current cost and all our train services on the route the trains currently serve at zero cost on their travels this holiday season.

The Federal Government, through the Ministry of Transportation, will be working with transporters, road transport unions, the Nigerian Railway Corporation to seamlessly deliver on this special presidential initiative.”

Alake added that, “I can tell you that all the relevant stakeholders in that industry have been discussed with or been engaged and all the parameters laid out and the Minister of Transportation has the full details and it’s on top of the game.

“In fact, the Presidents of the various transport unions have been met…and everything is in top shape in terms of execution.”

According to Alake, air iravel was excluded from the initiative because it “luxury.”

“The initiative is for the masses. Air is luxury. The masses don’t use air transport. So they are our main target,” he explained.

You see, TINUBU and his APC crew are more interested in appearing GOOD than being Truly GOOD.

To start with, what’s the corelation between Dele Alake, Minister for solid Minerals and this announcement 📢 which is supposed to be strictly for Minister of Transportation?

Again, Tinubu seems to always act before he thinks of how it would actually work…. Subsidy is Gone..

Tomorrow, 21st of December is not far anymore… So, Tinubu wants to tell Nigerians that a bus that’s supposedly charging 40k say from Lagos to Anambra would charge 20k from tomorrow till January 4th?

Wow….. Wonderful..

Train…. That’s Kaduna to Abuja train abi?….. Has it started working after the kidnaping incidence without any security gadgets complained about?

Does the Federal Government of Nigeria haa a Federal Transport system to be able to do this? Some group of persons somewhere are now planning on how to loot Billions outta this pronouncement….

Tomorrow is not too far anymore… We shall see..
