Rivers Governor Siminalayi Fubara has sworn-in Caretaker Committee Chairmen for the 23 Local Government Councils of the State.
The swearing-in ceremony was performed at the Executive Council Chambers of Government House in Port Harcourt on Wednesday.
The chairmen were earlier screened and confirmed by the Speaker Oko-Jumbo-led Assembly.
The governor had earlier sent sent the list of nominated caretaker committee chairmen to the House of Assembly led by Speaker Victor Oko-Jumbo.

The Oko-Jumbo led lawmakers scheduled Wednesday to screen and confirm the nominees.
A statement by the Clerk of the Oko-Jumbo-led House invited the nominees to appear before it at 8am with 12 sets of their credentials, original and photocopies.
The lawmakers said they were acting in line with Section 9 (5) of the Rivers State Local Government Law.
However, following their successful screening by the lawmakers, Governor Fubara proceeded to inaugurate them.
Below are the names of the caretaker chairmen nominated, screened and sworn in by Fubara on Wednesday:
1. Abua/Odua LGA – Madigai Dickson
2. Ahoada East LGA – Happy Benneth
3. Ahoada West LGA – Mr. Daddy John Green
4. Akuku Toru LGa – Otonye Briggs
5. Andoni LGA – Reginald Ekaan
6. Asari Toru LGA – Orolosoma Amachree
7. Bonny LGA – Alabota Anengi Barasua
8. Degema LGA – Anthony Soberekon
9. Eleme LGA – Brain Gokpa
10. Emouha LGA – David Omereji
11. Etche LGA – John Otamiri
12. Gokana LGA – Kenneth Kpeden
13. Ikwerre LGA – Darlington Orji
14. Khana LGA – Marvin Yobana
15. Obia/Akpor LGA – Chijioke Ihunwo
16. Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni LGA – Princewill Ejekwe
