Peter Obi Celebrates Okonjo-Iweala as she Turns 70

His Excellency, Peter Gregory Onwubuasi Obi has celebrated one of the best brains in Nigerian economic department, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala as she turns 70th birthday.

He wrote below :

“I would like to celebrate my Very Dear Elder Sister and Director General of the World Trade Organisation, Dr Mrs Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala @NOIweala, as she marks her 70th birthday today.

I rejoice with and celebrate her for the very impactful contributions she has made to our nation and to the global community.

On the national level, she has served, among others, as a finance minister of the nation, where she immensely contributed to improving Nigeria’s financial stability and encouraged fiscal discipline and transparency through her anti-corruption campaigns.

On the global stage, she stands tall as the first woman and the first African to head the WTO. She has continued to enjoy the trust and confidence of governments around the world due to her honesty, integrity and commitment to the advancement of the cause of humanity.
