So, LP brought an application for interrogatories, court mentioned it will give a ruling on that today.
They are about to do that first before we proceed. Justices are writing!
Justice Tsammani is currently reading out the petition motions filed for interrogatories and the arguments of counsel, as well as written affidavits before reading the ruling.
The petitioners (Peter Obi and Labour Party) tendered this interrogatories application and Justice Tsammani is about to give a ruling.
Justice Tsammani has just ruled that the Petitioners (Peter Obi and Labour Party) application to serve Interrogatories on the 1st Respondent (INEC) is denied He stated that it’s because the Petitioners lawyers did not move their motion on time and did not file on time.
Justice Tsammani has also stated that it is not the job of the court to remind the lawyers or search through documents for them to move a motion. The lawyers should have remembered and reminded the judges about the motion for ruling.
Justices are Saying that the Petitioners (LP & Obi) , should have mentioned that they filed an application earlier
And that failure to indicate this to the court makes it useless
Therefore the application failed and is hereby DISMISSED!
