After recovering from his shock, Charles immediately started to call the number, but it was switched off. They tried calling a few more times unsuccessfully before they finally decided to rush to the police station to report what had just happened. The detectives took down all the information and promised to act on it.A few days later, they received a call from the detectives. “The good news is that we’ve been able to track the sender’s location using the phone number,” the detective informed.
“That’s great. What’s the bad news?” Charles asked, waiting eagerly for the response.
“The bad news is the person is out of town,” the detective said.
“Can’t we go there and find whoever it is?” Charles questioned.
“Well, you can,” the detective responded. “But we will not be going with you.”“How do you mean? Aren’t you supposed to be trying to find my daughter?” Charles asked, raising his voice.“We have informed our colleagues over there about our findings thus far. They will be handling the rest of the investigations from now on,” the detective explained. “If you, however, insist on travelling there, I could give you the contact details of my colleagues,” he offered.
Charles and Dija both opted to travel, and the detective informed his colleagues of their arrival and begged that they give their utmost support.The next flight out of town took them to join the other detectives who had been awaiting their arrival. Without wasting any further time, they went to the suspect’s location. It was a small bungalow in a residential area. The detectives had decided it was best to go in mufti in order not to alert the suspect of their presence in the vicinity.They walked up to the door and pressed the doorbell. A cheerful young lady answered the door. “How can I help you?” she said, smiling.“We’d like to see the owner of the house,” one of the detectives answered.

“Honey, who’s there?” a male voice called out from behind her as his footsteps drew closer to the door.
“It’s some people asking to see the owner of the house,” she responded just as he approached the door.“How did you find me?” he asked, looking horrified when he saw who was at the door.
“Chizzy?” Dija and Charles shouted in shock.The detectives and the woman who answered the door looked surprised.“You know them?” she asked.“Of course he does!” Dija snapped.“What are you so angry about?” the woman snapped back.
“They have come for my daughter,” Chizzy replied.
“What do you mean my daughter?” Charles shouted, raising his hand to hit Chizzy before he was held back by one of the detectives.“Don’t you dare try to hit me again! You have no right to hit your adopted daughter’s real father like that!” Chizzy shouted, much to the shock of everyone present. “What did you just say?” Charles asked, trying hard to understand what he had just heard.“I owe you no explanations. Ask your wife,” Chizzy said, looking towards Dija’s direction as she stood there, staring with her mouth open.
