Breaking: Appeal Court sacks Kano State Governor, Yusuf

The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja, on Friday, nullified the election of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State. The appellate court, in a unanimous decision by a three-member panel of justices, held that Governor Yusuf was not a valid candidate in the gubernatorial election that was held in the state on March 18.

The Supreme Court of Nigeria, on Wednesday, in Abuja, affirmed the six years imprisonment imposed on former Federal Director of Pensions (FDP), John Yusuf, who was accused of stealing N32.8billion police pension money.
