Super Eagles Join Equatorial Guinea to the Round of 16

The Super Eagles have progressed to the next round of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) after defeating Guinea-Bissau on Monday.

The Eagles took the lead on the 36th minute after Guinea-Bissau’s Sangante kicked the ball into the net, to bag an own goal.

Nigeria finished as runners-up in the group behind Equatorial Guinea.

Unfortunately, the host Nation, Cote’d’Ivoire succumbed to an embarrassing 4-0 defeat to Equatorial Guinea in front of the home fans.
