Summary of Peter Obi's 100 paged Election Petition against Tinubu & APC

Interesting times are ahead as most Nigerians would be witnessing the most intriguing legal battle of our time.

You’d recall that LP Presidential candidate, Peter Obi filed a Petition to the election Tribunal in Abuja challenging the process that lead to the emergence of Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the President-elect by Mahmood Yakubu.

Peter Obi and his legal team filed a 100 paged law suit to the presidential election petition in Abuja.

This is a summary of what the whole suit contained as analyzed by @spotlight_Abby on Twitter.

Summary of Peter Obi x LP's Petition:

1. BAT not qualified to run
2. BAT not duly elected by majority of lawful votes
3. APC didn't secure 25% in FCT
4. Invalidate election due to corruption & non-adherence to Electoral Act

You & me may think these petitions are as simple as ABC, they really are NOT.

1st thing is to avoid any rule on technicalities, so, if you check Sec 134 👆🏽 you see the grounds for canceling presidential elections.
