The Deputy Speaker of Anambra state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon.Sir Pius Chukwuma Okoye (Ozo Mkpuluobi Amawbia) Celebrates all fathers on today’s international men’s day.
In his words, he wrote :
As today is International Fathers’ Day, I wish to specially celebrate all the Fathers in Anambra State and in Awka South 2 Constituency.
Your sacrifices for the entire well being of your family is unquantifiable. You have been strong pillar holding up the buildings of your family. You never fold your arms to watch them suffer and do nothing.
A day is not enough to celebrate you, Fathers. Everyday should be used to celebrate your immense contributions to your families. You are the torchbearers of your respective homes. You are kings shielding your kingdoms from the eyes of the warring enemies.
Your contributions to nation building is significantly awesome. Your efforts are visible in the successes we are achieving as a State and country at large.
Today, we celebrate the unsung heroes, the pillars of strength, and the beacons of hope in our families and communities. We honor the fathers who have embraced their role with love, care, and dedication.

As a father myself, I understand the joys and challenges that come with this noble responsibility. I want to encourage and celebrate all fathers who have made it their mission to raise the next generation of leaders, innovators, and change-makers.
Let us continue to inspire, support, and nurture our children, and let us remember that fatherhood is not just a biological bond, but a sacred trust.
To all the fathers, father figures, and mentors, I wish you a Happy Father’s Day. May your day be filled with love, joy, and the knowledge that your impact is making a difference in the lives of those around you.
As you celebrate today, I pray that God will continue to bless, guide, protect and provide for you in Jesus name. Amen. Happy Fathers’ Day to you, our adorable fathers.
