His Excellency, Peter Obi earlier today paid a visit to Tungan Madaki Primary Healthcare Center, Abuja.
His aide wrote :
“In fulfillment of his promise on February 15, 2024, during World Sick Week, Mr. @PeterObi revisited the Tungan Madaki Primary Healthcare Centre in Abuja today, March 30, 2024. He presented a 2 million Naira cheque for the facility’s upgrade, supported the lead nurse, community leaders, and provided aid to the community.
Mr. Obi’s decision stems from his firsthand experience of the healthcare sector’s challenges, echoing his governance achievements in education and health. This commitment to reforms is evident in his nationwide tour during Ramadan, particularly in Northern Nigeria.

The state of primary healthcare centers nationwide is concerning, with less than 10% operating effectively and over 50% in disrepair. Mr. Obi’s pledge of financial assistance aims to address these systemic issues at the Tungan Madaki Primary Healthcare Centre, serving 32 villages.
He emphasizes that a healthy populace is crucial for national development, urging investment in a resilient healthcare system accessible to all citizens.
Mr. @PeterObi represents the possibility of a new Nigeria.
