Peter Obi Visits Saving Little heart, Cardiocare Multi-Specialist Hospital Abuja (pictures)

His Excellency, Mr. Peter Obi On May 20, 2024 has once again demonstrated his dedication to the health and well-being of Nigerian children.

He showed this by visiting the Saving Little Hearts Program at Cardiocare Multi-Specialist Hospital in Abuja. This outstanding initiative, led by Hospitals for Humanity (HfH), sheds light on the critical issue of congenital heart defects, which affect 1 in 100 live births.

Mr. Peter Obi commended the efforts of HfH in providing vital support to underprivileged families in Nigeria and urged the government to increase its support for healthcare systems in the country.

He emphasized the need for increased awareness, funding, and access to quality healthcare to address the critical health issue of congenital heart defects.

“It’s heartening to know that, with proper medical care, 139 children have benefited from treatment so far. I am excited to support the ambitious goal of HfH to reach 150 successful cases annually and encourage them to work tirelessly towards this target,” Mr. Peter Obi said

The Saving Little Hearts Program is a visionary initiative that aims to reduce medical tourism, stem medical brain drain, and provide vital support to underprivileged families in Nigeria.
