Onitsha Head Bridge blocked by Truck Drivers and Market Protesters due to tax issues (video)

The bridge head at Onitsha in Anambra state is totally blocked as passengers appear stranded,Jkcyno news reports.

This morning, we got news of some serious unrest in Onitsha, the commercial city of Anambra State as commercial truck drivers, marketers and tax/revenue collectors in the state are having serious loggerheads.

According to the people, Soludo’s administration gave out revenue collection to some agencies which imposed heavy tax on some people as the market tax collectors still collect their own levy as well which the marketers are complaining to be double taxation and highly exorbitant.

They blocked the entire exit and entrance to the bridge head insisting that until Governor Soludo comes to Onitsha to address them, no one would enter or leave the state.

The entire passengers travelling to Lagos and other far distances were still stranded up till 12pm…as at the time of this report, no one is either leaving or entering Anambra state via the bridge.
