Just In: CJN resigns on health grounds

Justice Tanko Mohammed, the Chief justice of Nigeria has resigned on health grounds.

The 68-year-old has two years to the end of his tenure as CJN.

According to Arise TV, Mohammed resigned over a yet-to-be-disclosed illness.

He was recently embroiled in a corruption scandal after 14 justices of the Supreme Court accused him of enriching himself and his family to the detriment of the judiciary.
