David Hundeyin said Peter Obi’s campaign has been pound-for-pound the most successful presidential campaign in Nigerian history.
He said this while reacting to a video shared by PUNCH where APC Presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu danced to Nigerian singer, Kizz Daniel’s hit song, ‘Buga’ at the national youth town hall meeting in Abuja on Friday.
He wrote : This is why the ‘Obidient’ movement represents hope to me.

Prior to 2022, running a presidential campaign in Nigeria meant posing for photo-ops with roadside hawkers and hairdressers, buying delegates at party primaries, and spending a fuckton of money to pay for publicity and buy voters.
Just money, money, money, nothing more.
But Peter Gregory Obi is LEADING on EVERY CREDIBLE POLL 50 days to the election and he has done NONE of this!
Do you understand just how much of a momentous event we are witnessing?!! Do you know how big a deal this is?!!

Let me repeat: The candidate whose unofficial campaign tagline is “We no dey give shishi” is LEADING ON EVERY POLL with just over a month to the election in NIGERIA!

It means that as long as this man finishes ahead of at least one of the 2 oldies, Nigeria will never be the same again, regardless.
It will be proof that one can run a campaign in Nigeria without monetisation and gimmickry, and beat much older, established contenders.
That means the next time around, we won’t have just “Peter Gregory Obi” to build a movement around. We will have Gbadebo Rhodes Vivour. We will have Kingsley Moghalu. We will have Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala. We will have Datti Baba-Ahmed.
