How NLC and TUC by passed Court Order to halt strike

The Federal Government of Nigeria has mastered the act of using court orders to stop legitimate Industrial actions by the NLC, ASUU and other Labour unions in Nigeria.

Prio to today as NLC and TUC Declare Nationwide Strike,as usual, the Federal Government had gone ahead to get a court injunction to halt the strike but something dramatic happened.

See analysis below :

By virtue of Sections 7(1)(b) of the National Industrial Court Act 2006 the Industrial Court has the power to issue an order, restraining a person or group from taking part in a strike action.

It was on this basis that the FG went to court and we’re gifted an injunction retraining the NLC and TUC from embarking on their scheduled strike yesterday.

Being very ‘smart’ and having complied not to embark on the strike yesterday, at 12AM of today, the NLC and TUC ordered a strike which takes immediate effect, thereby denying the FG the opportunity of obtaining another injuction to stop it.

The Presidency is barking upandan… NLC and TUC feels humiliated and are biting hard… How far can they go?

Nigeria is a joke. 🤣

Big time joke!! 🔥

The Federal Government that talks about court order, have they ever obeyed same court order?
