Nigerians are set to hit the polls in a once in a lifetime election that would further change the entire political and economic dynamics of Nigeria either for good or terribly bad.
Unfortunately, most Nigerians are yet to understand that Millions of possible electorates are to be disenfranchised ignorantly by some sick INEC policies and Nigerians themselves.
How?
ADHOC STAFF : I bet that most Nigerians haven’t discovered or maybe thought towards the angle that all the INEC Adhoc staff, Police, Civil Defence, Army, Observers, Drivers and all people working on the election day would not be voting. Yes, they are automatically disenfranchised not withstanding that majority of them are eligible voters with their PVCs.
Oh My Nigeria 🇳🇬….
I see millions of Nigerians who have been clamoring for the right government via credible election moving in droves to the INEC training centers for their adhoc staff training to conduct the elections. It only means, they wouldn’t be voting because they would be engaged with Electoral works on the day of election..

Did i forget the NYSC members? Millions of corps members across Nigeria 🇳🇬 have always been used by the INEC as the Presiding Officers, POs, and assistant POs without even considering that their futures are to be determined by the few supposedly ignorant and uneducated majority in the rural areas.
This is such a bizarre situation in Nigeria and no one, not even the so-called law makers could pass a law to amend this dangerous and obvious Electoral anomaly.
How come INEC isn’t making a provision for all her Adhoc staff and all security personnel to vote at their respective units before commencing with their duties since all data can be found on INEC data base and BVAS is in play?
Ordinarily, anyone can be In Kano or Jigawa and vote for a preferred candidate in Bayelsa or Rivers without traveling to the polling unit. With this, all Adhoc staff can easily log in and vote first before anyone thereby adding to the number of voters without getting disenfranchised.
Am i making sense?
I plead with people with PVCs… In this coming election, sacrifice that 15k allowance paid to adhoc staff and maybe the bribes the agents bring to you at the polling units.
Sacrifice it and make sure you vote….
Don’t assume your own vote can’t mean anything.
Please, let those genuinely without PVCs go for the INEC Adhoc job…
Our future is at stake here if we allow these desperate crooks enter again…

The problem with this suggestion is that the process can easily be compromised. Imagine if Inec is hijacked and they only recruit people loyal to a particular party and induce them through “allowances” to vote for a particular person. That is millions who sure votes in the bag already because they will surely show up to work. Also the pay can be seen as vote buying and inducements. I think it is good that they don’t vote. They are too close to the process to be partisan. That is why they are supposedly an Independent Commission.
Nice suggestion, however, what of a situation where the accredited INEC adhoc staff voting?
