#BlackThursday As Lagos mourns after the fire incident, Onitsha would wake up to this scene. Thursday evening’s rain was so disastrous that it swept away some cars plying on the wide road at the popular Upper iwekka expressway in Onitsha. This gory site was seen at the Onitsha-Asaba Expressway near Ogboefere Market Onitsha. According to witness they said that cars on the road were been carried into the gutter which were over flooded.

Now, let me unapologetically say this, 99% of the death or accident cases we notice in this country are as a result of negligence, carelessness and no regard for human life….. If you you live in Onitsha or drive through that place, you’d notice that central and deep gutters without any barricade. Does it mean that they never knew it was very dangerous? They knew but does it really matter? They can always pray and God would protect them…. It’s high time we woke up to our respective responsibilities and do the needful . . GGod bless the dead…! |
