Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have hijacked a GUO Motors bus traveling from Lagos to the South-East of Nigeria, reportedly abducting all passengers.
Tragically, they killed the driver and left a little girl behind after taking her parents and other passengers. The exact location of the incident is yet to be confirmed but report had it that it happened along the Benin – Ore expressway.
Senator Ned Nwoko, reacting to the attack, expressed his dismay and emphasized the need for self-defense laws, which he is sponsoring in the National Assembly.

He suggested that if the driver or any of the passengers had been armed, the outcome might have been different.
This incident has sparked outrage among Nigerians, many of whom believe that allowing residents to carry arms for self-defense could deter such criminal acts.
They criticized the perceived inadequacy of security agencies’ response and called for stricter regulations and training for responsible gun ownership.
