Emefiele drops another bomb on New cash policy (video)

The Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele seems to be out of touch with current reality in Nigeria as he keeps insisting on the 31st January deadline for the old Naira notes.

In his press release, Emefiele stated, ”

“I don’t have good news for those who feel we should shift the deadline; my apologies

The reason is because 90 days should be enough for those who have the old currency to deposit it in the banks…”

– Godwin Emefiele (Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria).

The most worrying part of his broadcast was the part where he revealed that his men are already going round Sambisa forest, Lake chad etc conducting cash swap.

Our agents and staff are at areas around the Lake Chad Basin, Sambisa Forest, conducting cash swap and cash exchange.

– Godwin Emefiele (Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria).”

Like seriously? GODWIN EMEFIELE….

is this man being serious? Could this be the reason he was linked to terrorism sponsorship?

Is going around Sambisa forest, swapping new naira notes with possible terrorists part of the plan?

I can’t seem to understand this country…

Till now, few days to deadline, Nigerians still don’t have the new currency as POS and ATMs keep vomiting 🤮 back the old notes whilst Emefiele guys are busy taking the new notes to the guys in the Sambisa forest.

  1. How can we be swapping new notes with the old ones in the forests, when there’s no new notes in banks’ ATMs?
