ASUU Speaks on Calling off Strike

The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, on Sunday dismissed claims that it has called off the ongoing strike. ASUU stated this while urging the public to “ignore any announcement” that the industrial action has been called off. Court To Decide Buhari’s Certificate Saga, fixes date

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja division has adjourned proceedings in the suit seeking the disqualification of President Muhammadu Buhari from participating in the February 16 presidential election till February 7, 2019.  Justice Ahmed Mohammed fixed the date following a request by the plaintiffs’ counsel for time to respond to the second defendant’s counter-affidavit

JUST IN: NJC queries Onnoghen, Tanko Mohammed

The National Judicial Council (NJC) has queried the Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Tanko Mohammed, few days after his inauguration at the Presidential Villa by President Muhammadu Buhari. Also queried is the suspended CJN Justice Walter Onnoghen. It was learnt that the two judges were given seven days to respond to the queries.
