Pope Francis annouced Bishop Okpaleke as Cardinal during the Angelus.

OKPALEKE, the Bishop of Ekwulobia Diocese becomes Nigeria’s fifth Cardinal in History after Cardinals Dominic Ekandem, Francis Arinze, Anthony Okogie, and John Onaiyekan.
