The Deputy Speaker of Anambra state, Rt. Hon Pius Chukwuma Okoye (Ozo Mkpuluobi Amawbia) who incidentally happens to be amongst the second Pioneer sets of the prestigious Kabe College Amawbia was the chief Guest of Honour at the 10th edition of the school’s Inter-house sports held at the Awka city Millennium stadium in Awka, Anambra State.
The Deputy Speaker, during his speech eulogized the school as one of the best Private secondary schools in Anambra state. He took his time to reel out the undeniable importance of quality education as he is one of the fortunate beneficiaries of what good, quality and affordable education could look like.
He urged the students to become avid readers as to emerge eventual effective leaders in the future. “marry your books always and shun any form of social vices,” he reiterated before kicking the Inter-house event open in a grand style.

Engr. Ifeakabe Onyeogu, the founder and owner of the school was not left out in his appreciation list.
The Special Guest of Honour, Comrade Chinedu Bright Uka , the President of the kabe college Alumni pioneer set of 2003 came prepared in the company of most of his fellow Alumni members to grace the occasion.
The Julius Berger company staff and business mogul, Chinedu Uka expressed his satisfaction and joy seeing the school he left so many years ago grow from strength to strength in his speech.
The Director of the school, Mr. Joseph E. Okeke was full of praises to both the Deputy Speaker who in his very tight schedule accepted to grace the occasion and the Alumni president who flew into the state simply to be present physically at the occasion.
Highlights of the occasion were match past, track and field events, ranging from Relay races, 100 meter dash and 400 meter dash, Javelin throw, long jump amongst other athletic events. Obviously, there’s hope for the future Athletes in Nigeria as young and developing talents were discovered during the course of the event.
