[dropcap]T[/dropcap]here is an Igbo adage that says, “ijiji ntị ike n’eso ozu ana n’ini (stubborn house fly follows the corpse to the grave).
” Nwanza rijuo afọ, o chere chi ya aka mgba”(an over fed little bird stages fight with her gods).
This would be the case of Nnamdi Kanu, IPOB and Nigeria. Personally, i would liken Nnamdi Kanu’s sudden emergence into the rhetoric release of “ụmụ igbo” from Egypt to that of Sergey Mavrodi of MMM. They both appeared as the Moses to liberate the Israelis, only to brainwash the poor gullible followers into early grave.
First, i would want to say that God really wanted to use that young man to let the world or at least Nigeria know the evil and vicious neglect meted to them by the Federal might but he became over fed, over pompous just like Ralph Uwazuruike, betrayed his followers again.
He urged them to boycott an election in Anambra state and promised them referendum for sovereignty. At a point, those Ipob members were becoming over zealous, less tolerant and belligerent. They would threaten to kill or main any Igbo person that spoke against their supreme leader, Nnamdi kanu. To them, “thy kingdom hast cometh already”. Things were really working out fine for them as the young man was busy acquiring his caliphate, making himself god and giving them audacious hope in futility.
Fast forward, The Mighty Nnamdi Kanu’s bloated ego could not allow him see or know when to stop. His arrogance and self belief made him to turn down the offer from the South-East Governors in Enugu for peace. That would have been his best leverage to dictate the tone of political dances in the whole south east, hence his woes started.
Imagine if Nnamdi kanu had urged his thousands of followers to storm Anambra and register for Voters card. He ignorantly disenfranchised them. Yes, he claimed to be non partisan but his resonating hatred for Willie Obiano would be enough drive to vote him out. He had the power, he had the crowd, he had the money and of course the panache to Use his followers to vote Willie out.
He never utilised it and still maintained his stance of “No lefelendum no erection” as a typical Anambra man would pronounce.
Thousands of innocent Igbo youths had staked their lives for this man and paid greatly with their lives defending him with stones and broken bottles. The python dance destroyed their plans. “Ikuku were kuo, anyị fụ ike ọkụkọ” (the breeze revealed the buttocks of the fowl).
IPOB was proscribed and their invincible Kanu vanished into the thing air without saying bye. Unfortunately, his poor followers are still believing, praying, hoping he would resurface to at least give them anti-venom to cure the python dance infections.
Just as a lion that suddenly woke up from sleep, they re-grouped, got few foreign aid and started off where they stopped in their original quest to boycott Anambra election.
Unfortunately, “ebube agụ adago ibube” (the lion’s pride has waned).
Every of their threats has been thwarted, ignored and heavily defeated.
They Threatened to die with Buhari if he steps foot in Ebonyi state today.
See the IPOB Members after BuuBuu entered Ebonyi….
Unlike before, the beleaguered president would have sent the Pastor Vice president to represent him after such treats, but hell no….. He is currently in Ebonyi state and probably dancing “one corner dance” with Dave Umeahi to the disappointment of Ndị IPOB….. Hence, scoreline, Buhari 2-0 IPOB.
Second half is about to start…..
It’s really a pity. Once bitten twice shy, they never heeded. Ralph Uwazuruike had made his fortune out of same quest for sovereignty of Biafrans.
Where is Nnamdi kanu?
Some are still defending him and hoping these lies as perceived would be a dream afterall…. Such a pity…
The grand finale of their defeat would be on November 18 after the election must have successfully been held.
It would mark their official annihilation as the newly appointed replacement of Kanu regroups and come up with a better MMM ideology with the promise of 30% benefits (Referendum) to the resilient few followers.
To be continued….. PART 2
