Tinubu is a Proof there’re No Men left in Nigeria – Nefertiti

A strong lover of Nigeria and super Obidient, @Nefertiti has penned down a strong opinion of hers on Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his administration.

She wrote below :

“Tinubu is proof that there are no men left in Nigeria. All the men are de@d. I can’t believe what my eyes have seen. It’s as if Nigeria is on CNN showing the whole world how much PAIN, TORTURE, & TRAUMA slaves can endure.

No nation of free men endured what Nigerians endure today. The last Asylum program to close in the West was “the former” St Elizabeth’s Hospital in Washington D.C. It was sealed in 2006. But the hospital somehow survived. Steps are being taken to revive the place.

That institution was one of the sites of the Rosenhan Experiment in the 1970s. By the mid-20s, following the discovery of psychiatric drugs, the West began to deinstitutionalize, by reducing the population of mental institutions.

Home care was born. People began to receive care at home. Those discovered drugs reduced the need for patients to be isolated, confined & restrained. People began to advocate for patient freedom. Governments closed down the institutions to save cost.

Back then, during The Experiments, Europe & America were asylum on industrial scale. Medical Science was still trying to understand Mental Disorder. They did the next best thing.

They built Psychiatric Institutions otherwise called Asylum (on industry scale, & isolated the mentally disturbed). Nigerians are still institutionalized; you have the epidemic of Mass Psychosis carefully maintained.

Nigeria will make you mad & expect you to smile. Almost everyone in the streets of Lagos are mentally disturbed. In Nigeria, you have (Yaba Left in Lagos & Psychiatric Hospital in Port Harcourt). And these are the ones I can remember. Both are mental institutions with large concentration of inmates.

The terrible socioeconomic situation in Nigeria have made many mad, only they don’t know it just yet. Nigeria is a horror movie, it houses the largest community of people with mental disorder. Sadly, many don’t know this as a fact.

Two out of five Nigerians are dealing with one form of mental disorder. Nigeria is a place where people were conscripted, not drafted.

It doesn’t appear that there will be a prison break (in the foreseeable future). Inmates are at peace within those walls. They have fallen in love with their chains. Set them free, they’ll be too afraid to step a foot outside.

Nigeria is an asylum, escape is a forlorn hope, survival is your only priority. Inside those walls? Stockholm syndrome, Stoicism & Learned helplessness exist side by side. Alongside religion, tribalism & bigotry, the hexad feature permanently, & dominate public life.

Every religion teaches SUFFERING as essentially the ladder to some sort of divine reward. Having put the citizens in chains, churches & mosques finished them off with the (doctrine of suffering) for a future reward.

Government & religion are inseparable. Their actions lead to poor outcomes for the people of Nigeria. They create docile citizens waiting on HOPE & a REWARD that will never come.

The Constellation Gemini (Greek Mythology) involves two identical twins: Castor & Pollux, inseparable in looks & in actions. Castor is the government, Pollux is religion. If you see one without the other, then it’s bad luck.

Government & Religion are the Mythology of Bad Luck, conjoined in deeds & in words.

The warden now in London, is resting on behalf of the inmates. His foot soldiers back in Nigeria with continue to gaslight the citizens. They will continue to compare apples & oranges.

Nigeria has the chicken & egg problem. It needs a warden to oversee the inmates. They are conjoined, one cannot exist without the other.

I must stop here (before my brain starts to meltdown). I like to believe that I’m one of those whose mental health can be vouched for….

Such a Precarious Situation Nigerians have found themselves…..
