Some residents of Bayelsa on Sunday night broke into a warehouse in Yenagoa where 2022 flood palliatives were kept by the state government and stole some food items said to be already decaying.
The warehouse located along Isaac Boro Expressway in Yenagoa, the state capital, was looted by people
The Bayelsa State Emergency Management Agency (BYSEMA) said that the food items carted away were no longer good for human consumption, because it was stored during the 2022 flood in the state.
However, it was not confirmed whether the subsidy palliatives provided by Bola Ahmed Tinubu to states to cushion the effects of the subsidy removal were among the items looted by the hungry residents.

The agency added that during the 2022 flood in the state, it used the warehouse to store food items.
BYSEMA, in the statement, condemned the action of the yet-to-be-identified persons that invaded the premises of a warehouse and also condemns the attempt to politicise the incident by opposition elements in the state.
Why are these leaders so wicked and adamant to the feelings of people that voted them to Power?
I can’t believe this… Palliatives given to state government to share to people who suffered great loss to flooding menace in 2022… Now, most of the have expired. To whose gain? Yet the citizens are suffering?….. Same thing would still happen to this subsidy removal palliative…. They would share 10% and keep 90%….Tụfịakwa!!!!
