It’s becoming increasingly necessary we addressed this menace of “the unsolicited message” going round the social media especially via the whatsapp about the Federal Government of Nigeria asking to pay to her citizens the sum of 20,000 naira as part of the palliatives to help cushion the effect of the rampaging COVID-19 pandemic.
Let me start by saying that it is not true. The Federal Government of Nigeria is not asking for any details from her citizens as they are still consulting the gods of the land on whether to start paying some money to her citizens or continue with the current sharing of noodles 🍜 and cups of rice 🍚.
Having said that, let me inform you what they intend to achieve by sharing such malicious messages on social media.
Ordinarily, the Federal Government cannot request for such a sensitive information from her citizens via a viral message on social media…… Be very careful with what you read and never fall to such scam.
If you click on the link attached to the message, it would redirect you to the page above…
Look carefully at the URL (top panel)…. You would notice the address to be from a free blogger, hence, blogspot.com
It means, the person sending the message is so poor and amateur enough as not to aford a simple domain name, hence he went for a free domain on Google.
Any legit information coming from the government must have
…….. @info.gov.ng or anything atall @gov.ng
That’s the official domain of the Nigerian government or any government in the whole world..
Clicking further, you would notice that the prerequisite for the supposed money to be paid to you after filling the questionnaire is to share……
Once you click on the share button, it would automatically redirect you to your whatsapp contacts and the sharing spree never stops.
Please, stop aiding them in Making their free domain go viral…….
Concentrate on the noodles and paracetamol the government is given you than fall prey to scammers…
Good night.. .
Thanks for the info.
But the paracetamol aspect make me laugh ooo. Lol
Thanks dear
