There was pandemonium on Saturday, October 19th, 2019, at a wedding reception held Amasiri Secondary School, Amasiri in Afikpo North Local Government Area of Ebonyi as the bridegroom identified as Dr. Chukwuemeka Thompson Onwuka has been reported to have slumped and died at his wedding reception held at Amasiri Secondary School, Amasiri in Afikpo North Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, Nigeria.
According to our source, the ill-fated wedding took place on Saturday, October 19, 2019.
The wedding, the source added, had earlier been solemnized at St. James Presbyterian Church, Amasiri Parish after which the now-deceased Onwuka, his bride Marie Onyiyechi Amadi, their families and guests had moved to the reception venue.
Eye witness accounts recounted, however, that soon after the reception had kicked off, the groom slumped and died, even in spite of frantic efforts of guests at the occasion to revive him.
The deceased, we learned, and his bride had graduated from Abia State University, Uturu.
