In solidarity with Niger 🇳🇪, three neighboring countries, Guinea 🇬🇳, Burkina Faso 🇧🇫, and Mali 🇲🇱, have decided not to enforce the sanctions imposed by the ECOWAS.
These nations, themselves facing sanctions under pressure from Western powers, have chosen not to take punitive measures against the Nigerien people.

The embargo, labeled as “inhumane and immoral,” has also been rejected by Algeria 🇩🇿 and Libya 🇱🇾, expressing their disapproval of the controversial decision by ECOWAS. This united stance reflects these African countries’ willingness to support Niger amid external pressures, raising questions about potential impacts on regional relations within ECOWAS and highlighting tensions surrounding policies of sanctions imposed by foreign powers.
