The leader of the national movements, Foundation For A New Nigeria (FANN) and the SUC Organizations), Mr. Sampson Uchenna Charles, has denied the news making rounds that he took Mr. Peter Obi to court over Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidacy.
Mr. Sampson made the denial in a press statement dated 7th June, 2022, which he personally signed.
In the statement, he stated categorically that he will never do any such thing that will deny people of Igbo heritage the opportunity to produce president of Nigeria. Sampson, therefore, urged Labour Party to resolve its own crisis and leave him out of the mess as he does not “want to be a part to this ugly rumour going around”.He said: “It has come to my notice this morning that I Sampson Uchenna Charles took Governor Peter Obi to court over the LP (Labour Party) presidential candidacy.
“Let it be on record that Peter Obi is an Igbo elder statesman and also my older brother whom I respect and admire.
