BREAKING : Wike Vs Fubara, as Assembly building gets demolished (video)

The Governor of Rivers State, Siminalaye Fubara, has reportedly ordered the demolition of the State House of Assembly premises.

News Band learnt that the demolition exercise is to allow for renovation of the Assembly premises.

Pundits, however, have observed that the demolition may not be unconnected with the recent crisis rocking the state.

Just yesterday, News Band reported that the former governor of Rivers State and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Barrister Nyesom Wike, received a devastating blow from his successor, Governor Fubara, as a Federal High Court sitting in the State has confirmed Honourable Edison Ehie as the legitimate speaker of the State House of Assembly.

Honourable Ehie, it could be recalled is one of the four lawmakers in Governor Fubara’s camp that scuttled the impeachment attempt on the governor.

An anonymous observer just revealed that following the court judgement yesterday, some lawmakers stole and hid the Mace, apparently intending to use it to impeach the duo of Hon. Ehie and Governor Fubara, thereby prompting Fubara to destroy the whole edifice to make it impossible to find the Mace or sit and hold proceedings.
