What INEC and Mahmood Yakubu need to remember

Is the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC actually independent in Nigeria 🇳🇬?

I seriously doubt…. Infact, it’s glaringly clear they are inadvertently a sub-set of APC.

You’d recall that APC and INEC were both approaching the court to seek for an injunction to disqualify Peter Obi?

How on earth would an INEC that conducted an election still take a participant in the same election to court?

Such a shame!

Meanwhile, incase Mahmood  Yakubu thought Nigerians have forgotten what he did, see below..

If anyone tries to convince you that there are any positives to be taken from this sham of an election, remind them of 2 basic things:

1) That over N300 billion was provided for the conduct of this election.

2) That the INEC chairman, Mahmood Yakubu, is empowered by law to pause collation of results for up to a period of over one week, in the event of widespread discrepancies, to allow for reconciliation of said discrepancies, before resumption of collation & onward announcement of results.

INEC & Yakubu broke their own laws.

In a country where laws work, Mahmood Yakubu should be facing criminal prosecution.

There’s not a single positive to be taken from the 2023 general elections.

Anyone trying to downplay the obvious, blatant, & brazen ballot coup that this was, needs to have their head checked.

An election for the office of the president is the singular most important process in any country, & should be completely free, fair, credible, & transparent!

Oh, I forgot, Mahmood Yakubu & INEC brazenly refused to obey a court order to allow LP to inspect election materials.
