Weaponinzing poverty as an Election Tool in Nigeria (video)

This sort of ugly scene can only be found in a country where the elites/politicians have weaponized poverty only to use it as a bait to continue to remain in power during electioneering campaigns.

Peter Gregory Obi came into the scene and demystified that silly ritual of bribing the electorates before they vote for you. In his campaigns, he was adorned with this mantra of “we no dey give shishi”. It was meant to be a derogatory statement by the opposition where they taunted him for being stingy.

Obidients in his defense wholeheartedly trademarked the word for him, “we no dey give shishi”.

That birthed the whole entire idea of running a campaign where people expect nothing from you but your ideology on how to Serve them better.

How do you explain where a graduate who is an “Okada driver” was able to win powerfull politicians who has got such wealth in politics?

How do you begin to convince someone that a “nobody” in the eyes of the society could become a House of Representatives member without paying or bribing the electorates or even having a strong godfather. They only needed to identify with the party that doesn’t give “shishi”. The Labour party.

The horrible video above is an example of where citizens are being treated as slaves by the elites by offering them a carton of Noodles 🍜 as a bait to get votes from them.

You’d hear the “slave-master” shouting at the women on the queue in a very condescending manner simply because of a carton of Noodles.

This is the terrible type of politics Peter Obi and the entire Obidients are up against in a bid to forge a New POssible Nigeria. 🇳🇬
