The Secret Service shot and killed a man who opened fire at a rally for former President Donald Trump in Pennsylvania on Saturday.
Law enforcement officials confirmed that the suspected shooter was killed at the scene. The incident occurred just six minutes into Trump’s speech, causing chaos and alarm among attendees.
Trump, who sustained an injury during the attack, was immediately surrounded by Secret Service agents who provided cover and swiftly escorted him from the stage. Eyewitnesses reported seeing blood on his face as he was rushed to safety.
In addition to the shooter, one attendee was also killed, sending shockwaves across the nation. The Secret Service has since announced that Trump is safe and under continuous protection.
