The Abia state governor Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu is definitely not in the romantic side of the news reportage recently as his residents have decided to cry to the world of the terrible impoverishment Abia state is currently under his watchful “nnukwu anya” (eyes).
You’d recall that same Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu was heavily criticized for his boastful achievement of gifting N500 to women who deliver in primary healthcare centres in Abia State during his life interview at Channels sunrise news.
Like seriously?… Okezie why!
Today, same indigenes of Abia state have decried the most horrible and nauseating situation at the Abia State University Teaching Hospital.

I think we owe it as a duty to call out these elected leaders when they become complacent and seem to be thriving on mediocrity to the peril of the suffering masses.

How on earth can someone convince someone that this is a hospital not to talk of a teaching hospital owned by the government?
Shamefully, the state had collected foreign loans for the Health sector and yet this is the state of the most important hospital where student Doctors are trained.
NB : these pictures were taken last year, 2020 and we learnt the situation has gone even worse than the pictures projected.
We intentionally decided to leave out the terrible state of the roads in Abia state…. Discussion for another day, “maka your sanity”!
