Subsidy: NLC, TUC suspend planned strike

THE Organised Labour made up of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC and the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria, TUC, yesterday agreed to suspend its planned strike scheduled to begin tomorrow to enable further negotiations with the Federal Government. This was part of the resolutions reached at the end of the meeting late yesterday evening. Confusion as Judiciary set to join strike

There’s imminent confusion and tension as the Judiciary staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) sets to join the strike as stipulated by the NLC. The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC has declared nationwide strike from next Wednesday amid fuel crisis in the country following the abrupt removal of the controversial subsidy by the Federal Government. The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC has suspended its strike scheduled to commence tomorrow over Naira scarcity rocking the nation. The pressure group earlier disclosed that it would begin an indefinite strike from tomorrow, (Wednesday), adding that it would picket branches of the Central Bank  of Nigeria across the country.
