The Supreme Court justices have chosen Monday, the 23rd of October, 2023 as the day to begin hearing of Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar’s case.
Nigerians are very worried cus they’re aware of what’s the Possible outcome would be regardless….

“On Justice Musa Dattijo Muhammad…
I’ve seen a lot of ‘news’ about Justice Musa being a member of the 7 Justices to hear the appeal on the presidential election petition. I must note that these news are not ‘yet’ confirmed or authoritative, however, they should not be left without comments.
The deadline for judgment on this Appeal is somewhere about 4th November 2023 and Justice Musa Dattijo turns 70 (retirement age) on 27th October (a week before deadline).
While I don’t believe he is or can make it to the team of appeal justices, there can be only two reasons why he may in my perspective.
1. UNAVAILABILITY PF JUSTICES
There has been ‘news’ about the wanton recusal of justices who have for many reasons decided not to be part of this 7-man team. We know the justice system and the corruption within. While many may recuse themselves for familal reasons, others may not want to be on the side of injustice because the money that flows may be too tempting to resist.

For this reason, Dattijo becomes an option, however we must not forget the complication of timing which leaves the team with 7 days from today to decide the matter. On the positives, can they? Bearing in mind that new evidence will (or may) be adduced and considered by the court.
2. HASTY SCHEME TO JUMP TINUBU FILES
We all know that Tinubu’s criminal files are pending release in the US. The (possible) appointment of a Justice who retires in 7 days to a panel to hear a matter that has a timeline of 14 days left could only be, on the negatives, a calculated attempt to deliver hasty (rogue) judgment on the matter.
Recall that the antecedents of Dattijo proceeds him, he was among the several justices who were slammed Visa Bans by the US in July in relation to the judgements on cases involving Uzodimma, Akpabio and Lawan, which raised some much upset within the polity and some other cases which were considered to be against democracy and rule of law.
For me, I don’t believe (yet) that Justice Musa Dattijo is on that panel, however, THIS IS NIGERIA!

Meanwhile…
Very disturbing and disheartening that Justice Helen Ogunwumiju who’s in the Supreme Court Panel handling the Presidential Election Petitions is the mother of Kehinde Ogunwumiju, SAN, who is one of APC’s lawyers at the tribunal. She is also the mother of an Ondo State legislator on the platform of APC. This is the Justices can’t be trusted seeing that all of them are partisan and belong to the APC. How do we expect justice to be delivered when all the Appeal court justices and that of supreme courts justices are in bed with the Nigerian politicians and political parties? Nigeria has become a society characterized by the lack of adherence to legal principles and an effective judicial system, making it difficult for citizens to trust their justice system
Nigeria my kwantry….just for the sake of one man….. They have chosen to ignore the constitution on the alter of Technicalities…
They should be fast so that all these drama would end…
Do i see Nigerians protesting? I doubt…
