Social media Outcry, fastest way to Get Justice in Nigeria as Rhoda regains freedom

Social media is the new and fastest way to get your voice heard in Nigeria….. It’s more efficient than the Law makers and more viable than the Judiciary.

CAN has been quiet about this until the recent outcry by the well-meaning Nigerians on the internet.

Rhoda Jatau who was illegally arrested and locked up for 18 months (Almost 2 years) in Bauchi, for asking for justice for Deborah Samuel, who was murdered by an Islamic mob in Sokoto State, finally regains freedom.

Rhoda was released on bail yesterday night, on Friday 8th December 2023, following interventions by the Christian Association of Nigeria, the Nigeria Inter-Religious Council and the Christian Solidarity Worldwide Nigeria.

Rhoda has been illegally locked up since May 2022 for condemning the murder of a Christian, Deborah Yakubu, by an Islamic mob in Sokoto State.

Deborah, a 200-level student of Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto, was brutally murdered after advising against sending religious materials on a WhatsApp page.

Rhoda Jatau illegal arrest in Bauchi has caused religious tensions as it was stated she was being charged under Sharia law, for condemning the death of a Christian in Sokoto, who was murdered by an Islamic mob.
