Shettima has received serious backlash from Nigerians after he made some comments most people perceived as rather unfortunate in an event.
Shettima while speaking in an event, in a bid to sound modest, found himself denigrating his former classmate.
In his statement,… “The best graduating student in his class, mentioned his name… Is somewhere languishing (you may think he would say Jail) as a General manager in one mediocre Bank.”

According to Shettima…. Outside Politics, any other meaningful job one may be doing is” languish “.
This could be the reason why many people would kill just to be a politician in Nigeria.
