His Excellency, Peter Gregory Onwubuasi Obi has defied all odds to keep donating to humanity and doing his possible best to show love and support to some critical sectors of the society with his personal money.
Yesterday, he was at Holy Rosary School of Nursing and Midwifery, Emekuku, Imo State where he donated the sum of N10 million.
He wrote below :
“In furtherance of my commitment to contribute to building a robust healthcare system, I was a Guest Speaker at the 6th Public Lecture of the Board of Fellows, Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria last Wednesday where I spoke on issues that border on health, with emphasis on the number one critical measure of development: life expectancy which is enshrined in health, and which I said must be prioritized.

Peter Obi Donates N20Million to Nursing Schools
Today, in that stride of building a robust health sector, starting with the healthcare workers, who are the most critical components in the sector, I visited the Holy Rosary School of Nursing and Midwifery, Emekuku, Imo State where I donated the sum of N10 million.
The proprietors of the School are working hard to upgrade the institution into a University of Medical Sciences which will incorporate Nursing Sciences, Midwifery and Laboratory Technology studies.
In investing in our primary healthcare sector, which is almost non-existent now, we must prioritise investment in the training of nurses and midwives, who are at the centre of primary healthcare delivery.
I thank the Proprietor of the School, His Grace Most Rev Lucius Ugorji, for his support for health and education in society. I urge the government and other donor agencies to support these critical areas of development for the good of society.
I remain committed to our journey to a New Nigeria. Through our sacrifices today, and investments in critical sectors, the New Nigeria will become even more POssible. -PO
