Nigerians leave Sour Notes for the Retiring CJN, expresses fear for the Incoming

Justice Olukayode Ariwoola retired today as Chief Justice of Nigeria.

Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, the 22nd Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), has officially retired from service upon reaching the mandatory retirement age of 70….

(Wait.. Did the last CJN Onoghen also retire like this?)

Ariwoola’s replacement will be sworn in by the President on the 23rd of August, in person of Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun of the Supreme Court.

Based on public perception, Nigerians are mildly bothered about his retirement.

Many believe his replacement will have an even more unpleasing run, particularly following her role in the 2020 gubernatorial elections in Imo state where the 4the miraculously became 1st in the person of Hope Uzodimma.

Majority of Nigerians are certainly sad and ain’t saying good prayers for the retired man.
