Nigerian Police called out for further detaining Chike Ibezim despite Court order

A German citizen, Kerstin A. has joined her voice to the voices of Most Nigerians to call out the Nigerian Police force for illegally arresting and detaining a Nigerian, Chike Ibezim for over 30days.

You’d recall that The Nigerian police had arrested Chike Ibezim in proxy after they failed to arrest his older brother. His older brother who accused the former Governor of Lagos state, Raji Fashola for aiding in the writing of the PEPT Judgement.

She wrote below in response to Chude Nnamdi’s post of Twitter..

Dear @PoliceNG, what are the exact reasons for detaining Ckike Ibezim for so such a long time? It seems that you actually want to detain Ckike Ibezim’s brother, but you don’t get him and instead you detain Ckike. Is clan detention allowed in Nigeria? I am really shocked as this was a common method under Hitler’s Nazi regime and had hoped that people would be wiser nowadays.

I need the world to know that the Nigeria Police @PoliceNG is not just detaining Ckike Ibezim illegally for 30 days, they also Paraded him on Channels TV like a common criminal, all for a crime allegedly committed by a blog owned and registered in the name of his elder brother @IruefiNG…

Dear @Princemoye1, Arrest by proxy is illegal by law, What exactly do you have against the innocent young man you have held illegally in your custody for 30 days?

It’s on record also that the Police have flouted two court orders to release Chike Ibezim..

What’s really happening in Nigeria?

Do we still have rule of law?
