NERC Approves New Band A Feeders For Ikeja Electric

The Ikeja Electric in Lagos says it has obtained approval from the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission NERC to add nineteen additional band A feeders to it’s network, just as the company also announced a slash in its tarrif for band A customers from 225kwh to 206.80kwh.

In a Press Statement released Monday on it’s verified X handle formerly twitter, the distribution company noted that the development is a fallout from it’s demonstrated ability to consistently provide a minimum of twenty hours of daily power availability within a performance evaluation period monitored by the regulatory body.

Speaking further on the contents of the press statement to ait.live, head, corporate communications of the distribution company, Kingsley Okotie, said the approval for the additional band A feeders by the regulatory body has again confirm the capacity of the Ikeja Electric to effectively deliver on it’s core mandate of efficient power supply to its customers not just on the band A feeder but across all other bands within the value chain.

The new nineteen feeders now migrated to band A following the approval by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission include 33-ikorodutcn-dangote, marylandINJ-t3-sylvia, newAlausaINJ-T4-oregun, and 33-oworosokiTCN-oworo3 amongst others.

The latest additional nineteen feeders according to the distribution company brings to a total of 104 band A feeders to it’s network
