The Lagos state government on Sunday embarked on House/building demolition at a very popular, Rockview estate in Ajao, Lagos state.
A certain woman whose voice was heard at the background of the viral video lamented that neither her documents nor properties were saved before the demolition.
Jkcyno news queried further to find out the major reason for the demolition, although without much facts available. Rumors had it that those buildings were built close to the airport and the lands belong to the airport authorities which means they were illegally sold.
We also heard that the government claimed the land ownership in 2016, serving the residents quit notice.
The big question is, WHY THE DEMOLITION IN 2023?

Unfortunately, Most of the residents there are entirely Igbos from the south eastern part of Nigeria. The residents there were fully aware that the land belongs to the Federal government but went ahead to buy the land illegally.
So unfortunate for them…. We also heard that more demolitions would be carried out.
The handwriting is so glaringly clear on the wall.
