In the early hours of Friday, an unknown number of students from the Federal University of Gusau were abducted by armed bandits.
Students from the institution posted comments on social media claiming that the gunmen broke into the Sabon-Gida settlement in the Bungudu Local Government Area of Zamfara.

The armed men abducted every student from the hostels after raiding at least three of the residences.
Unconfirmed reports by students of the school who spoke to Parallel Facts say the number of kidnapped students is more than thirty. Parallel Facts will continue to monitor the situation as events unfold.
