The legal battle between Eric Umeofia of ERISCO Foods and Chioma Okoli has gone global as CNN reports the news.
You’d recall we reported “I will rather die than drop the case against Chioma Okoli.” – Eric Umeofia (Erisco).
That was the infamous statement made by Eric Umeofia some months ago.
However, CNN has waded into the issue as it continues to gain more global traction.

“NIGERIA: WE ARE A SHAME !!! CNN HAS REPORTED THE ERISCO/CHIOMA TREATMENT
I ask again, who is really giving the country bad publicity. The people or the people in charge of the people?
I’ve not made any posts on this matter but it begs the very least to do so now. An ordinary review that no one would have heard of has now become a source of National shame, institutional shame and a symbol of oppression in Nigeria.
Chioma for giving her own honest opinion is now being witch hunted and treated like a criminal. Since when did it become criminal to give personal reviews on products? And the police are making a mess of it by seeming to align with powers that be.
Nobody speaks for the common man in Nigeria, nobody cares about the common woman. Even the military rule was not like this.
Just look at the news going outside Nigeria and we expect investors to come in with these inhumanity?
Nigeria Has failed her Old
Nigeria Has failed her young
Nigeria Has failed her yet unborn
Nigeria Has failed the common man
Nigeria Has failed Chioma
If we let it slide, it will be you one day and no one will stand up for you.
